Bboy Wicket
The evening closes with a live breakdance performance and retro DJ set by Gabriel “Bboy Wicket” Dionisio — the only artist on the bill who appears in both lineups this weekend. The next night he trades the decks for the big screen as the subject of our Closing Night Film, WICKET, at Galaxy Theatres.
Wicket bridges both halves of The Big Queer Weekend: Saturday night he performs and spins retro cuts at Drinks Backyard, and Sunday evening he is on screen at Galaxy Theatres as the subject of the Closing Night Film, WICKET.
A breakdancing legend who spent 41 years in the closet, Wicket now lives in Austin with his husband and dogs, and joins the Closing Night live Q&A after the film.
